As a not-for-profit, largely volunteer based organisation, Surf Life Saving WA relies on community and corporate support to continue protecting beach-goers.
Last year West Australian lifesavers and lifeguards rescued more than 1,100 people and administered first aid to more than 4,200 others. Fundraising and donations are put towards the purchase and maintenance of rescue equipment, vital medical supplies and training for our volunteer surf lifesavers.
There are a number of ways you can help Surf Life Saving WA:
The Foundation, run by Surf Life Saving Australia, distributes donations to Surf Life Saving bodies around the country. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

Learn first aid and CPR from the lifesaving expert, Surf Life Saving WA. Surf Life Saving offers public first aid and CPR courses that will give participants these vital lifesaving skills. You could help save the life of someone close to you one day and become a real lifesaver.
Our head office houses brand new purpose-built conference, training and event facilities. So when you book your conference or event at Surf Life Saving WA, the room hire fee goes straight to helping our volunteers continue to save lives on WA beaches.
School education programs offered by Surf Life Saving WA cover a range of topics, including an introduction to the beach, basic first aid and surf lifesaving sport, with lessons conducted in the classroom or at the beach.
Surf Life Saving WA provides a great introduction to the beach, waves and surf lifesavers via the popular Surf Babies, Surf Kids and Surf’s Up programs. These fun, short run programs offer both children and parents a great foundation to learn about the beach and to develop confidence in the water.
