The Community Surf Rescue Certificate is a 1 day course suitable for anyone over the age of 13. Candidates will be taught and assessed on performing rescues, identifying dangers, supervision skills, non accredited resuscitation and basic first aid skills. There will also be a 100m-100m-100m Run-Swim-Run which must be performed in less than 5min and a theory workbook to be completed.
This certificate is recognised by the Department of Education and Training’s Water Safety Guidelines for supervision of children in both open and closed waterways.
This is a non accredited course, candidates who are deemed competent will receive a certificate of participation.
