Introduction to BeachSAFE

The Introduction to BeachSAFE session is the ideal introductory session to beach safety.  Exploring all aspects of the beach including wave types, rip currents, sea creatures and lifesavers; the interactive Introduction to BeachSAFE session will prepare people of all backgrounds and ages for Australia’s dynamic coastline.

The session is delivered by trained Surf Life Saving instructors who have extensive experience in beach environments and how to be BeachSAFE in WA.

Participants will experience the coastline through a visual PowerPoint, assisting them to identify key features when they visit the beach.

Surf Life Saving instructors will share their knowledge on the key BeachSAFE principles of Supervision, Aquatic Education, First Aid and CPR and Emergency Preparedness and introduce participants to our valuable lifesaving services.

The Introduction to BeachSAFE session is part of Surf Life Saving WA’s BeachSAFE Initiative which provides a holistic and evidence based approach to water safety and lifesaving education for the WA community.  Learn more about the BeachSAFE Initiative.
